Thank you so much for this— i was dismayed at much of the photo coverage for the heatwave looking like fun tourist/summer cliches, when in reality so many people are dying, unable to work, or otherwise suffering. I appreciate the curation of images that start to explore appropriate expression of climate crisis.

Curation, yes! It's so disheartening to see photo galleries where only one out of five to ten photos captures the deadly truth. I took it for granted that the practice would self-correct as the crisis spiked. Shockingly, no dice.

Thank you for this. People don't grasp the danger of heat, and the media is not helping. I see it every year here in Canada, with people basking under a 40C sun at noon at parks...

Thanks, Dan. Coming from California, I particularly empathize with countries like Canada and Greece, where the climate crisis is synonymous with fire. With the crisis rapidly escalating, it feels more and more like living in a tinderbox.
